Details of Bluff/Atlas Road Improvement Project released [Video]

The Station at Congaree Pointe project involves city, county and state government as well as community nonprofit organizations

COLUMBIA, S.C. — A clearer vision of Columbia Empowerment Zone‘s Bluff/Atlas Road Improvement Project was released Wednesday, showing where new city and county government buildings would locate in this mixed-use development.

The Station at Congaree Point, along the 3600 block of Bluff Road near the intersection of Altas Road, will be developed in two phases and will eventually incorporate approximately 35 acres once complete. Led by Columbia Empowerment Zone, the City of Columbia and Richland County will partner on the development announcing the following specifics regarding the project:

City of Columbia plans a new 35-078-square foot Municipal Court Building and a 11,530-square foot Columbia Police Department Southeast Region Headquarters
Richland County will build a new 7-930-square foot building to house a new Magistrate’s Office and Sheriff’s Substation
