DeSantis grants millions for improvements at Space Coast Airport [Video]

TITUSVILLE, Fla. — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced a grant totaling more than $5.8 million for infrastructure improvements at the Space Coast Regional Airport during a press conference Thursday in Titusville.

The money will be used to build the roadways necessary to connect to the airport’s industrial park, according to the governor.

“There’s no better place to launch than right here in Brevard County,” DeSantis said. “It’s historic and we want to keep it that way.”

DeSantis added that the grant will help strengthen the state’s partnership with the commercial space industry, saying the infrastructure improvements to the airport will produce jobs and positive revenue for the local community and Florida as a whole.
