Deputies said the death is the second in Richland County in the last 24 hours and the 25th murder this year.

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Deputies on Monday announced the second homicide in 24 hours in Richland County.

Around 4 a.m. Monday, deputies say they responded to a murder at the 200 block of Quinton Lane in northeast Columbia. No additional details were immediately available.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is expected to release additional details at a press conference on Tuesday.

Deputies said the death is the second homicide in Richland County in the last 24 hours and the 25th this year.
