DENVER — Southbound lanes of Interstate 25 reopened near downtown Denver after a deadly crash Saturday morning.
Denver Police posted at 4:15 a.m. on social media that officers were investigating the crash involving two drivers on southbound I-25 near 20th Street.
As of 8:15 a.m., the Colorado Department of Transportation’s website showed southbound lanes were still closed between Interstate 70 and Exit 213 (Park Avenue) while officers worked to clear the crash and investigated.
A detour is in place via westbound I-70, to southbound US-287 (Federal Boulevard), allowing drivers to get back on I-25 at Colfax Avenue.
By 10:45 a.m., CDOT’s website showed lanes were back open.
Drivers were advised to find alternate routes.
