WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — One of D.C.’s largest cultural celebrations, the H Street Festival, is gearing up to kick off this weekend.
To help the community stay prepared, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said there will be an extensive number of road closures and parking restrictions in the area.

Police said H Street from 3rd Street to Florida Avenue, NE will have “Emergency No Parking” signs on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m.
During this time, the following streets will be blocked off to all traffic:
MPD said vehicles will not be able to cross H Street from 3rd Street to Florida Avenue from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. All residents and visitors are encouraged to plan their routes ahead.
