In council court, testimony revealed Anthony Piagentini’s consulting job contract ended in November. A witness says it was the councilman’s decision not to renew.

In day six of Anthony Piagentini’s removal trial in Council Court Tuesday, testimony revealed his consulting job contract with the Louisville Healthcare CEO Council (CEOc) ended in November 2023, a month after being found guilty of ethics code violations.

That’s according to Rick Remmers, senior advisor and founder of the CEOc, where Piagentini worked for a year at a salary of $240,000.

Piagentini’s attorneys called Remmers to the stand.

“It was a one-year contract,” Remmers said. “I was told that Anthony decided not to renew the contract.”

Remmers discussed Tammy York Day, the company’s president who hired Piagentini.

Attorney J. Brooken Smith asked Remmers if he considers Day to be a ‘truthful and honest person,’ to which he responded, “I do.”
