David Ha – Top AI Innovators [Video]

Pretty open about his love for fish and collective intelligence, David Ha started Sakana AI, leading the AI ecosystem in Japan. The whole idea was to create new kinds of foundational models based on “nature-inspired intelligence”. Building on top of this with his experience as a research scientist at Google, Ha released the AI Scientist, which is a fully-automated agent for scientific discovery. 

Japan is actively rising as one of the biggest hubs for AI developments and Sakana AI’s decision to set up an office in Tokyo, apart from their roots in the country, is a strategic as well as cultural move for building Tokyo as the pivotal hub for non-western cultures and societies for AI.
