Davenport and Harris celebrating 125 years of service in Alabama [Video]

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Davenport and Harris is celebrating 125 years of service in Alabama.

More clouds on Monday, warm and sunny through Thursday

Davenport and Harris Funeral Home Inc. was established on Sept. 12, 1899 and is the oldest Black-owned business in the state of Alabama. The celebration will take place at the Ross Bridge Golf Resort at 6 p.m.

There will be music, dancing and food. There will also be a live performance by R&B singer, Kenny Lattimore. For more details, click here.
