Dallas Mavs CEO Cynt Marshall Announced Retirement Monday [Video]

The Chief Executive Officer of the Dallas Mavericks announced her departure Monday in a press conference. In her leadership role she became the first black female CEO to lead a NBA sports team in history.

No explanation is given in the press statement announcing Marshall’s decision to quit after nearly seven years.

Marshall was hired and discovered by owner Mark Cuban, back in 2018 when Cuban decided to transform the work environment. If you may recall, this was when the Mavericks organization was exposed after an investigation. Employee’s spoke out for 20 years of sexual harassment and workplace misconduct at the organization.

Cuban desperately needed to turn around the workplace environment around after it was made known to him and he trusted one woman to get the job done.

Upon Marshall receiving the call, Mrs. Cynt recalls listening to voicemail from Cuban, not knowing who he was. That is until her children informed her and encouraged her to return the call.
