Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin opens sports bar, restaurant [Video]

THE COLONY, Texas — Michael Irvin’s new sports bar and restaurant is officially open in North Texas.

Playmakers88 is having a grand opening event Friday and Saturday, but the restaurant is open at 6 p.m. daily, and Irvin posted about an apparent soft opening last month. Playmakers88 is located in The Colony at 5005 State Highway 121, near Main Street and across the highway from the Grandscape development, according to a press release.

This weekend’s grand opening events will feature live music, stand-up comedy and a celebratory blue carpet on Friday night, from 5 p.m. to midnight. Then, on Saturday, a family-friendly event of giveaways, autographs and photo opportunities will be held 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
