Eric Bartel, owner of Dakota Meat Company in Rapid City, is passionate about bringing high-quality, local meat to the community. Located right in Main Street Square, the shop showcases the best of South Dakota’s beef, bison, and more.
“I’ve always loved beef, but when I moved to South Dakota, I realized this state has some of the best beef in the country,” Eric shared. After working with ranchers and learning the ins and outs of local beef, Eric decided to take the next step. He started with an online delivery service, working closely with local producers like Badlands Angus out of Wall, and quickly realized there was a demand for a brick-and-mortar store.
