Cuyahoga, state offer oxygen tank refills following Tuesdays storms [Video]

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cuyahoga County officials are hosting a station to refill oxygen tanks station Sunday to help residents after Tuesday’s storms.

The Office of Emergency Management and the Ohio Department of Health will host the event from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Brook Park Recreation Center parking lot. Patients can bring up to three small (D & E cylinder) tanks for filling. There is no cost.

The county, in a statement, said the tanks are for refills only. The station is to provide supplies for emergency usage. Additional dates are expected to be announced.

The event follows the storms that hit Northeast Ohio on Tuesday, when four tornadoes touched down in the county. More than 73,000 residents lacked power Saturday, four days after the high winds and rain rolled into Northeast Ohio.
