Cuyahoga County Public Librarys free Baby Club program boosts child development through play [Video]

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cuyahoga County Public Library is set to begin its Baby Club program, which focuses on enhancing early childhood development and fostering community connections among families.

The five-week series, set to begin later this month, is tailored for caregivers and children up to two years old.

Using research-backed practices, the program uses play to boost the children’s cognitive development while providing caregivers with helpful tips. Siblings are welcome to attend, making it easier for families with multiple children to participate.

The program is sponsored by Ohio’s 529 Plan, CollegeAdvantage, which helps families save for their children’s higher education.

Baby Club will be hosted at multiple branches across the county. Each branch club will begin on a different date, starting between Aug. 23 and Nov. 20.

Participating branches include:

  • Bedford
  • Brook Park
  • Fairview Park
  • Garfield Heights
  • Maple Heights
  • Mayfield
  • North Olmsted
  • Parma Heights
  • Parma-Powers
  • Parma-Snow
  • South Euclid-Lyndhurst
  • Warrensville Heights
