A Kenosha County community is coming together to help a family after a teen was struck and critically injured during his cross country practice. It happened Friday afternoon, as the Westosha High School senior was running back to the school with his cross country team. Reid Hansche of Bristol, 16, was crossing Highway 75 at Highway 50, when he was hit by a vehicle and thrown. He suffered severe head injuries and was taken by Flight for Life to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa. Hundreds of people gathered Sunday night at Westosha Central High School in Paddock Lake with one purpose: support and pray for Senior cross country runner Reid Hansche and his family. “I think everyone knew from the second it happened that this was just a freak accident,” Karisa Wenberg, the Hansche’s neighbor and close family friend, said Monday.She said when she heard of the pedestrian accident …
