Could some Alabama District 2 voters for Harris-Dobson or Trump-Figures? [Video]

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Will some voters in lower Alabama split their ballots next Tuesday when they vote for president and in the new District 2 congressional race?

Democrat Shomari Figures and Republican Caroleene Dobson certainly align themselves with their parties and with those at the top of their party’s ticket.

“I think the ideological differences (between us) are laid bare,” Figures said.

The vast majority of people will vote for Kamala Harris and Figures or Donald Trump and Dobson. But some voters might cross over.

Dobson said many could vote for her and Harris.

“I know of a few that I’ve had those conversations with, mostly women,” Dobson said. “I could envision someone, based on conversations, who thinks there are just far too few women in government.”
