Costco Customer Buys Pack of Carrot Cakes, ‘Disgusted’ by What’s Inside [Video]

When you’re done grocery shopping, there’s nothing better than tucking into some of the delicious treats you just bought. But when one Costco customer bit into the carrot cake he purchased, he was horrified by what was inside.

Harry Fletcher, 18, went to his local Costco in London with his dad when they purchased a box of six carrot cupcakes. They often buy the large carrot cake, but on this occasion, they decided to mix things up and try the cupcakes. He was soon left regretting that decision.

As Fletcher bit into one of the cupcakes, he was horrified to realize that large slices of carrot were in the sponge. Usually, carrots are thinly shredded and blended into the batter to add flavor without changing the texture too much, but Fletcher told Newsweek that the “huge slabs of carrot felt offensive.”
