Corvallis HSs head basketball coach is latest in family of coaching legends [Video]

CORVALLIS Ore. (KPTV) – Pat Casey is the legendary baseball coach from when Oregon State University won three College World Series baseball championships.

Now, his youngest son Joe is leading the way on the court at Corvallis High.

Clif Wegner is the long-tenured head coach of the Clackamas Community College basketball program, where he does it for the love of the game.

After graduating from Crescent Valley as a three-sport standout with the class of 2017, Joe went on to learn and play at Oregon State where he and the Beavs won the 2018 College World Series, a third national baseball title for his dad, Pat.

But coaching is in the fibers of life when you’re born into the Casey family of Corvallis, and Joe is now the 27-year-old new varsity boys basketball head coach at 5A Corvallis High.
