The City of Copperas Cove said the council is meant to address youth issues in the community and encourage youth input and education.
COPPERAS COVE, Texas — The City of Copperas Cove is giving the younger generation a chance to get involved by participating in the City’s Youth Advisory Council.
Applications are now open to fill positions on the council, which the City says is intended to “define specific ways to address youth community issues and the development of activities and programs designed and promoted through the City and the Copperas Cove Independent School District“.
The council, which is appointed by the City Council, will also “encourage and promote the education of youth regarding City government and importance of youth input, participation and responsibility”, said the City.
To be eligible to serve on the council, youth must be between the ages of 13-18, must be an incoming freshman to a non-graduated senior, must be a resident of Copperas Cove or a student at …
