Jason Day still loves his infamous Augusta vest, but not enough to stop it selling for a staggering amount of money.

The Australian major winner is known as one of the most style-conscious golfers on the PGA Tour following his sponsorship deal with Malbon Golf.

But even he took things a little too far at the Masters this year.

Day finished tied for 30th at the Augusta event won by Scottie Scheffler in April, and was slightly distracted during the second round.

The 36-year-old took to the course in a vest designed by Malbon Golf which was perhaps understatedly described as ‘busy’.

In fact, so busy was the vest that officials asked him to take it off, and he duly obliged.

Augusta National officials are known to be super strict on clothing, having previously told off Rickie Fowler for wearing a hat to a press conference.
