Contract to bring Costco to Midland officially signed [Video]

MIDLAND, Texas — A major retailer is now officially coming to the Tall City. 

On Tuesday morning, Midland City Council voted unanimously for final approval on a deal that is bringing Costco to Midland.  

Midland Mayor Lori Blong signed the contracts after approval. 

“This is the item I’m asked most consistently about out and about in the community – ‘when are we getting a Costco?’” Mayor Blong said.   

That question has now been answered, which is sure to make many Midlanders happy. 

“We already have over 6,500 households in the City of Midland that already have Costco memberships,” Mayor Blong said. “That is a staggering number when you consider the closest Costco is two hours away.”
