Construction on track for Waukesha’s parade tragedy memorial dedication [Video]

This Thursday marks the third anniversary of the Waukesha Christmas parade tragedy, where a driver plowed through the event, killing six people and injuring dozens more.The city plans to dedicate a new memorial honoring those victims on Thursday’s anniversary. The ceremony will be at 4:39 p.m. in Waukesha’s Grede ParkWISN 12 News was there Monday as construction crews made the finishing touches on the new space. “It would be helpful if it wasn’t going to rain the next couple of days, but I stopped by there over the weekend, and it looks like we’re in pretty good shape,” VJS Construction Services President and CEO Craig Jorgensen said Monday. Jorgensen is part of the crew that is bringing this massive undertaking to life.
