Songwriters will be gathering for the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance conference later in November.

PORTLAND, Maine — For four days this month, songwriters and musicians from around the country will gather in Portland for the annual Northeast Regional Folk Alliance conference. It’s an event held each year, that is now coming to Portland for the first time.

Among those attending is Maine musician Connor Garvey. Garvey has appeared on 207 before. He says he has attended the conference in the past, and when he found out it was coming to Maine he wanted to do something special. The night before the event, he and seven other songwriters and musicians will be on stage at One Longfellow Square for a concert.

This year’s NERFA conference runs from November 20-24.
