Connecticut Deputy Secretary Jennifer Barahona is sworn in [Video]

HARTFORD, Conn. — Deputy Secretary of the State of Connecticut Jennifer Barahona has been officially sworn into her new position, as was announced on Wednesday by Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas.

Barahona has found success as a community leader in multiple roles managing different programs and organizations. She most recently served as chief executive officer of Norwalk ACTS, a nonprofit collective that aims to facilitate social change and improve the lives of young people in and around the city.

Under Barahona’s leadership, Norwalk ACTS experienced a six-year period of substantial growth, during which the organization impacted the community in a positive manner. Barahona helped foster collaboration among educators, community organizations and businesses, advancing equity and opportunity for families in the region.
