Congressional Black Caucus gears up for 53rd Annual Legislative Conference [Video]

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) is set to convene in the nation’s capital next week for its 53rd Annual Legislative Conference on Sept. 11 through 15. The event, which draws leaders, legislators, influencers, and citizens from across the country, serves as a platform to tackle critical issues facing Black communities.

Nicole Austin-Hillery, CEO of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF), highlighted the key themes of this year’s conference, emphasizing a journey “from vision to victory.”

The conference will focus on strategies to address some of the most pressing challenges within the Black community, including economic empowerment, health disparities, criminal justice reform and voting rights.
