OXON HILL, Md. — We are getting uplifted by hundreds of people in the DMV for a work development conference.
It might not sound like an unusual deal, but this group is set on making a big impact in the community that is hosting them, Oxon Hill, Maryland.
Here’s how. On their way to the conference, meant to sharpen their skills, they stopped to share some love by helping to fill the plates for our neighbors who need a little help. They participated in a meal packing project with a twist — the conference attendees chose the meal they wanted to create, then created the meals by grabbing the ingredients to create the kits to feed a family of four.
