Community works to give St. Jude family their dream backyard | News [Video]

TULSA, Okla. — Volunteers across green country are coming together to give a St. Jude family their dream backyard.

The man behind it all, Jay Cobb, told FOX23 told FOX23 he’s overwhelmed by the community’s support.

Cobb, with the help of 100 volunteers, has been working to give a St. Jude family their dream backyard.

“That’s what we try to do is come back and try to restore some of those years lost by giving them something they can have fun on and enjoy for the years to come,” he said.

Cobb, who was a St. Jude patient as a kid, has done 24-hour dream backyard flips for the last four years.

This year’s renovation is for the Morris family.

In 2018, Hazel Morris was diagnosed with a blood cancer.

She’s been receiving treatment from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Last year, her mom, Kristen Morris, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
