Community Voices on Abilene Heritage Square Project [Video]

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) As the Abilene Heritage Square project nears its opening day, the Kiwanis Club of Greater Abilene donated a $15,000 check to support the construction.

Preservation of history is only one aspect of the Heritage Square Project, and local investors have continued their interest and support. Recently, the Kiwanis Club of Greater Abilene presented the President of the Abilene Heritage Square project, Jane Beard, with a check for $15 thousand to help with construction.

“They’re investing in the future of our community and the children of our community, and we’re very, very grateful,” Beard shared.

The Heritage Square Project expands beyond simply restoring a piece of Abilene’s history. Beard explained that the project goal is to be a beacon of extended education and opportunities across the Big Country.
