EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. – Flames tore through a building home to several businesses early Wednesday morning.
The call came in around 1:30 a.m. Firefighters were able to contain it to the main building, which held a barbershop and local eatery.
The building was vacant at the time of the fire; however, the damage has left the community upset.
An investigation into what caused the fire continues. One citizen stated that the community is rallying around the business owners to help rebuild what has been lost.
