Chandler Drouin was seriously injured in a hit-and-run on Wednesday. Since then, his community has poured out support that his family calls ‘incredible’.
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Communities across the Tennessee Valley are pouring out support for one Grissom High School freshman.
Chandler Drouin was seriously injured when he was struck by a car during cross-country practice on Wednesday. He sustained multiple broken bones from that accident including a broken tibia, fibula, ribs, clavicle, and orbital.
It will be a long road to recovery for Chandler, but one that his community has committed to help him finish.
“…Chandler’s Cross Country Team, JROTC, and Boy Scout Troop 343 have stepped up and supported their comrade when things got tough.” Chandler’s mom, Nicole Drouin, told FOX54 News.
“While it was a tragedy what happened, the outpouring of love and support has been incredible!” Nicole Drouin shared.
