LEBANON, Mo. (KY3) – People in the Lebanon community are coming together, mourning the loss of a high school senior who died unexpectedly over the weekend.
Rudy Zevallos Jr, or Junior as he was known, 18, died suddenly on Sat. Oct. 5 during the Frog Hill Half Marathon in Waynesville, Mo. According to the event page, Junior had just crossed the finish line when he collapsed. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died. Now, a memorial is growing outside the 7 Brew coffee shop in Lebanon where Junior worked.
“He was the most genuine, kind, and well-spoken child,” said Natalie Young, 7 Brew’s manager and Junior’s boss. “I fell in love with him from the start.” Junior had worked at the coffee shop for about a year before he passed.
