Community invited to discuss new Homeless Services Center with leaders [Video]

LENEXA, Kan. (KCTV) – The Johnson County community has been invited to two meetings to learn more about a new Homeless Services Center set to take shape in Lenexa.

Johnson County, Kansas, leaders have invited the public to learn more information about a proposed Homeless Services Center between I-35 and 95th St. in Lenexa during two public meetings.

Count officials noted that the two all-community meetings will begin with a presentation followed by a question-and-answer open-house format discussion. The content will be the same at both meetings.

In December, the Johnson Co. Board of Commissioners purchased multiple buildings in the area between I-35 and 95th St. for $6 million with a $500,000 due diligence fee. In May, it was announced that Kansas City’s reStart Inc. would own and operate a homeless service center set to take shape in the new space.
