Community gathers for vigil to support kindergarteners injured in school shooting | News [Video]

OROVILLE, Calif. – Two young children, Roman Mendez and Elias Wolford, are still in critical condition after being injured in a shooting at Feather River Adventist School in Palermo earlier this week.

Roman, 6, was shot twice, causing severe internal injuries, while 5-year-old Elias was shot once in the abdomen, also sustaining internal injuries, the Butte County Sheriff said. Both children remain in critical condition, and their families are asking for prayers and support as they navigate this heartbreaking situation.

In response to the tragedy, the local community is coming together to support Roman and Elias’s families. A candlelight vigil has been organized for tonight, where residents can gather to show their solidarity, unity, and prayers for the children’s recovery.
