BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. – The Berry Creek community will be gathering this weekend to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the Bear Fire.

The gathering will be on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Berry Creek Community Gathering at 1461 Bald Rock Road. There will be music, food and raffle prizes.

It’s a time to share your thoughts on how to continue building and help guide others by sharing useful resources others may not know about.

The Bear Fire sparked in the Plumas National Forest in August 2020, but three weeks later it pushed into the Berry Creek and Feather Falls communities, killing 16 people and destroying 2,400 structures before it was contained at 318,000 acres.
