Living, working, worshiping, attending school or just hanging out in a community can be even more rewarding when you get involved. Participating in community events and volunteer opportunities can provide a sense of belonging and connect you to new friends and something bigger. We asked our Vice President of Community Relations, Dawn Gonzales, to share her insights on what community involvement is, why it’s important and how you can get involved in your community.

What Is Community Involvement?

As Gonzales puts it, “Community involvement is all about taking action to make your local area better.” Whether walking shelter dogs, cleaning up your local park or helping at the food bank, you’re participating in community involvement!
