As the lights dimmed and the disco ball spun, Holiday Bowl was lit up on Friday for big Brothers Big Sisters Annual Bowl for Kids Sake, a multi-day event promoting funds for the organization.
Bowl for Kids Sake is the organization’s main fundraiser of the year and taking part was Lethbridge College Recruitment or the Spare Bears. The team bowled under the black lights as they went head to head with the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns.
Kendra Fuglerud, recruiter at LC, says it is a great way to have some fun outside of the office.
“Basically it’s just a great way for the community to come together, raise some funds for Bowl for Kids Sake and make sure that Big Brothers Big Sisters are able to fund different activities and really have their corporation get off the ground,” says Fuglerud.
