Come support the Staten Island team in the Little League World Series at this watch party [Video]

STATEN ISLAND N.Y. – Borough President Vito Fossella and Community Media of Staten Island are hosting a Little League World Series watch party to support South Shore Little League in its quest to claim Staten Island’s first title in 60 years.

South Shore Little League punched its ticket to the World Series after completing an impressive 17-2 stretch and beating Morristown, N.J. 5-0, to become Metro Region champions.

Now, South Shore will face the Paseo Verde Little League from Nevada, on Thursday, Aug. 15 at 3 p.m. in Williamsport, Pa.

To celebrate South Shore Little League’s accomplishments and show support as they compete in this round of the World Series, a watch party will be held at Fast Break on 236 Richmond Valley Road.

Doors will open at 2 p.m. with free admission and food provided by Joyce’s Tavern. Viewers can enjoy the game on the big screen, presented by Making MemorEase.
