September 7 – November 23, 2024 Experience the work of Walter Inglis Anderson (1903-1965), one of the most compelling and singular American creators of the 20th century. This exhibition introduces audiences to Anderson’s artwork through 40 original art objects ranging from jewel-toned watercolors to glowing examples of ceramics.Walter Inglis Anderson (1903-1965) was born in New Orleans, LA. Still, he spent most of his life in the small seaside town of Ocean Springs, MS. He was classically trained as an artist at the New York School of Fine and Applied Art and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts before returning to the Gulf Coast.
