CNN Panel Snarks About Kimberly Guilfoyle Nomination [Video]

The panel on Wednesday’s episode of Inside Politics with Dana Bash got some laughs at the expense of President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for U.S. Ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle — a nomination made in the wake of her recently broken engagement with Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr.

Trump announced the pick Tuesday evening, writing on his Truth Social account that the former Fox News on-air personality had been “a close friend and ally” for “many years,” citing her “extensive experience and leadership in law, media, and politics along with her sharp intellect.”

“Kimberly is perfectly suited to foster strong bilateral relations with Greece, advancing our interests on issues ranging from defense cooperation to trade and economic innovation,” wrote Trump. “Congratulations Kimberly!”

Guilfoyle thanked Trump for the nomination in a tweet Tuesday evening.

Donald Trump Jr. offered his congratulations in his own tweet, writing that he was “so proud of Kimberly.”
