The King’s Kitchen, a nonprofit restaurant in uptown Charlotte that operated since 2010, has closed permanently without notice. The restaurant, part of Noble Food & Pursuits, shut down after service on December 18. A December 19 news release stated that all employees have been offered other positions within the organization, but no specific reason for the closure was given. The King’s Kitchen’s mission was to support the Charlotte community by donating 100% of its profits to provide free meals to those in need. According to The Charlotte Observer, the release said, “We accomplished these goals and much more.”
