JANESVILLE, Wis. (WMTV) – The Janesville community is still picking up the pieces two months after an EF-2 tornado swept through the area.
On Tuesday, the Town of Rock’s Emergency Manager and Clerk Kristina Bennett put out a letter asking the community for help.
The town’s neighborhoods were among the many in the Janesville area hit by an EF-2 tornado on June 22.
“From there, every day brought something new,” Bennett said. “You know, a lot of meetings, emergency management in Rock County has just been kind of holding our hand through all of it. There’s all the logistics with the state, and Senator Spreitzer came down too.”
But residents say disaster relief from various sources has since slowed down.
