LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Police officers come out on top in the Battle of the Badges blood drive in Clarksville.
Firefighters and police officers staged the friendly competition for a good cause on Monday.
The Battle of the Badges blood drive was held at the Clarksville Community Center. Members of the Clarksville Fire Department and Clarksville Police Department and their supporters donated blood that will be used to save lives.
The donors hope the friendly competition raises awareness for the need to give blood. The police officers and firefighters also had some fun at the event.
“Unfortunately for the fire department, they’re on a bit of a losing streak,” said Clarksville Chief of Police Nathan Walls. “But I’ve caught word, they’re trying to make a bit of a move this year. Have a lot of hidden donors and they’re trying to take it home.”
