CHICO, Calif. – Chico city officials are asking for community feedback on a new development proposal that could bring significant changes to Southwest Chico.
The “Barber Yard Project” is slated for a 133-acre site off West 16th Street and could add 1,250 new homes to the area. The city has officially launched a 45-day review period, allowing residents and stakeholders to examine the plan and share their thoughts before making any decisions.

The proposed development is designed to transform the vacant 133-acre lot into a vibrant residential and recreational area.
