City of Monroe hosts press conference on city project updates [Video]

MONROE, La. (KNOE) – The City of Monroe gave updates on major projects going on within the city limits at a press conference on July 22 at Monroe City Hall.

Several projects are up for consideration at the city council meeting on July 23.

One of those involves a non-profit organization called Pilots for Patients. The organization is looking to lease out over 1.6 acres of land at the Monroe Regional Airport to construct a hanger.

Emily Stogner, media relations director, explains what happens once the lease is approved.

“This is just a lease for the land that we own at the airport and then once that lease is given to them, then they will take on the construction of that,” says Stogner.
