City of Marietta is seeking public input on their levee survey [Video]

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – The City of Marietta has a survey that anyone has access can take to gauge community feeling on adjustments made to the Marietta levee.

The survey is a seven question survey that includes questions about events and activities at the levee, what could make it better, what would lessen the experience at the levee and more.

Getting community engagement from the people who directly use the levee is important to the city because they are hoping to make the user experience better.

Community Development Director, Geoff Schenkel, hopes at the end of the project the city finds a way to modernize while also keeping Marietta historic.

“That means things like brick streets and older cobblestones on the levee bank. You look to take cues from the old while introducing new,” he said.
