City of Dothan asks residents to report broken streetlights before Halloween [Video]

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) – Dothan Utilities wants to make Halloween a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone this season.

Before trick-or-treating begins, the department asked residents to report broken streetlights to allow time for them to be repaired.

Jason Shiver with Dothan Utilities said public safety is very important to them, and they want to do what they can to make Halloween as safe as possible.

“When a customer reports a streetlight that‘s out, we will generate a work order and send a crew out there to repair or replace the light,” Shiver said. “As soon as the reports come in, we try to send them out that day. We’ll get them as soon as we can.”
