City of Decatur takes input for Safe Streets for All project [Video]

DECATUR, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The City of Decatur held its first public input meeting to learn more about what its citizens want fixed on city streets.

North Decatur Road and Superior Avenue is just one problem intersection called out in Tuesday’s meeting.

“It’s been home to many car crashes, many pedestrian car crashes, and lots of chaos,” said Clint Paden, who lives by the intersection.

It’s one of many spots marked on maps during Decatur’s Safe Streets for All’s first community input meeting.

“I myself have been hit in the crosswalk taking my daughter to school,” said Paden.

When combined with police data, stories like Paden’s will help the city shape what projects to undertake for their streets.
