City of Bridgeport looks to hire full-time lifeguard [Video]

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WDTV) – The city of Bridgeport is looking to hire a full-time lifeguard.

The city made a Facebook post advertising the position.

Other than saving people that are drowning, lifeguards are also expected to explain safety rules to guests and warn them about unsafe situations. Anyone applying must be a certified lifeguard and also have First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer training.

The new lifeguard will work at both the outdoor city pool and at The Bridge Sports Complex and will make $18.33 per hour.
