Cincinnati police cite Marsys Law in not identifying officers involved in Music Hall shooting [Video]

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge said she wouldn’t identify the police officers who were involved in the shooting that happened near Cincinnati Music Hall during a press conference on Friday, a day after the shooting.

She told reporters at the press conference that she wouldn’t identify the officers who shot and killed suspect Juan Mack because of Marsy’s Law.

The pursuit began after Mack allegedly stabbed a woman in the neck in Westwood. The victim is in critical condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Officers pursued Mack from District III to District I before he allegedly left his car with a gun and was shot by police.

“Something that’s going to be a little different for you guys here today, due to Marsy’s Law, we will not be releasing the officers’ names,” Theetge said.
