CINCINNATI — The game of golf may have a sleeping giant on its hands after Ja’Marr Chase’s latest press conference. Chase revealed he hit a hole-in-one during one of his offseasons while playing with his agent and Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Marshall Faulk in Mexico.
The Bengals star isn’t fond of golf even after the 100-yard ace.
“Only do it during the offseason. It’s not like I’m decent, only made a hole-in-one one time,” Chase said nonchalantly (average player’s odds of making one at anytime in their life: 12,000-1).
He does crazy things on and off the field with witnesses to validate his 9-iron shot. Another instance of how NFL players aren’t like normal people, but Chase is in one approach to golf.
“I’m mad competitive, and I don’t really like getting mad at golf,” Chase said. “That makes me angry, sometimes.”
