Grateful for the community’s support, Rudy Garza Sr. says he lost his home but has not lost everything.
SAN ANTONIO — Pathway Community Church members are uniting to support Rudy Garza Sr. who has been a member of the church for seven years. He lost his home on the 1200 block of West Harlan New Years Eve to a fire he believes was started by fireworks. Church members describe Garza as a man who’s always willing to help others. And now the church is hoping the community can give back to him.
“I heard rapid pounding, and I thought they were gunshots,” Garza said. “Well actually, they were banging on my door. A neighbor down the street saw the house next to me was up in flames.”
